Dear Customers! We're out of the office from the 6th of October to the 11th of October. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. For WordPress 5.5.* related issues, please visit this article.
I am using the Waxom Wordpress template (which is great !) and I have a couple questions : I want to use the portfolio features to manage other kind of content (not only portfolio).
1. Yes of course, you are able to change the URL for the portfolio, all you need to do is edit one of the words in one of the theme files:
plugins\waxom-core\custom-post-types\portfolio\portfolio-functions.php on line 18 where it says:
'slug' => 'portfolio', // if you need slug
just change the portfolio word to one that you want. Then save, upload and replace to the same directory. You will need to change it everytime the theme is updated, but it's just that bit which takes no time at all to do :)
2. You can create templates via Visual Composer -make sure you have the Portfolio pages enabled (Visual Composer > Role Manager)
Hello,
I am using the Waxom Wordpress template (which is great !) and I have a couple questions :
I want to use the portfolio features to manage other kind of content (not only portfolio).
1 - In the site, all portoflio related urls start with /portfolio/
Is there a way to use an other url ?
For example : http://veented.info/waxom/portfolio/paper-bag-2/
Is it possible to have it work as : http://veented.info/waxom/MY-CUSTOM-NAME/paper-bag-2/ ?
If so, will shortcodes, sliders and carousels still work ?
2 - In the Wordpress admin, is it possible to create portfolio templates ?
And use them to create new portfolio pages ?
Kind regards,
Ben - NokéWeb
Hi Ben,
