I logged into my site to edit some content and the WPBakery interface is gone? I haven't updated anything to cause this. I'd prefer not to have to update the theme. I've had issues with getting my SSL to work properly and display content.
Any thoughts? I also do not want to have to purchase a $45 WPBakery license if I do not have to.
There is NO need to buy anything. It seems that you must have recently updated your WordPress to the new version where the Gutenberg editor was introduced. It's now a default editor for WordPress and we, theme authors, are not allowed to disable it by default. However, we're allowed to provide a "suggested" solution which is the Classic Editor plugin that can be installed via Appearance / Install Plugins menu that you have just found.
