Dear Customers! We're out of the office from the 6th of October to the 11th of October. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. For WordPress 5.5.* related issues, please visit this article.
I brought this issue up last year but didn't get any resolutions for it. I ended up downloading a plugin that allows a site to scroll smoothly but it only works with Chrome. So I disabled that plugin today to see if the North theme fixed smooth scrolling and it hasn't.
I'm using North version 4. When I view this version in Chrome, http://veented.com/themes/north/home4/, it scrolls very nicely, smoothly. But on my site, there is no smooth scrolling, its very jerky and jarring.
Before you investigate further, can you remind me where the Smooth Scroll setting is? I remember seeing it somewhere but I can't find it anywhere in my theme settings.
I'm not sure if I mentioned it in our previous conversations but ThemeForest does not allow smooth scrolling to be included by default with WordPress themes. We couldn't get through the review process with it so we decided to disable it for good and give our clients a choice to use an external plugin.
Actually, looking back over a previous thread from last year, you did mention that. Sorry, I totally forgot. At the time you suggested using https://wordpress.org/plugins/jquery-smooth-scroll/. I notice that Smooth Scroll was last updated 3 years ago and has only been tested up to Wordpress version 4.2. Is Smooth Scroll what you guys use in the sample pages to all of your themes?
In investigating different plugins, jQuery Smooth Scroll only adds a Scroll to Top feature. The Smooth Scroll plugin you suggested does work but I found another one slightly better that was last updated 4 months ago: https://wordpress.org/plugins/smooth-scroll-by-wpos/. This one allows you to change the scroll amount and scroll speed, the others don't.

Hi Daniel,
Thank you for that information! If it works just fine as you describe then we'll for sure recommend it to other North users!
Have a great Monday!
