    Hi Support!

I'm running the latest Engage theme version 2.4 and latest version of Wordpress 4.9. Brand new working WP install (no woocommerce) and I've gone threw activating the Engage theme, then activating the required plugins.

The issue I'm having is the Engage Theme Dashboard still says my 'Engage Core' plugin is "not activated".

Screenshot attached of 'Dashboard' message, and screenshot of 'Plugins' screen showing version and active state and your 'Engage Theme Plugins' screen showing it's active too!

    Thanks!

    Hello there!

Oh my, this is really strange. Do you mind sharing your WP login details so I can take a closer look?

    Kind Regards,

    Hi again!

All right, I can see where this is coming from. You've completely changed the theme name and folder name to a custom name. Engage Core detects what theme is currently active and automatically disables itself "inside" to avoid any conflicts or problems in case another theme is running.

Any chance you can use Engage as a parent theme and then create a custom Child Theme to avoid any issues in the future? A different theme/folder name might also cost you issues with automatic updates or theme updates in general. Child Theme is definitely a way to go.

    Kind Regards,
    Veented Team

You are CORRECT Filip! Sorry I should have told you about that "minor" detail in the beginning. lol ;). Normally in the past... I've renamed theme names without issue, but totally understand why you've placed that 'check' in there. I installed the theme over from scratch with renaming, and all is well now. Thanks for your quick help! -Derek
