Well, you have a Dark Skin enabled on your website (Theme Options / Styling) and it by default has a dark "base" background there. You might want to change the skin to the light one.
Gotcha! Thank you for the reply! I have changed it, and now it's a white background when it transitions. How can I turn that background off altogether? I would just like the page to switch without any transition/animation. :) How can I do that?
Great! Well, I'm sorry but it's not possible... Well, it wasn't until now! We just added a new option to the Options panel "Page Fade Out Effect" that we decided to turn off by default. We're going to include it in the next theme update and I've just e-mailed it on your e-mail so you can get it quicker.

Whenever I navigate from one part of the menu to the other, the screen goes dark first.
I have disabled the Page Loader (I thought maybe that's what it was)?
Can you help me make it so the page doesn't go black before loading the next page?
