Since it's taking a while for you guys to figure out the animation issues with North, I decided to start learning/using LayerSlider.
In the information LaySlider provides it says: "Even if you're using a non-activated copy, it still has great features with almost unlimited capabilities to be a premium experience. Nevertheless, some additional features are only available for our direct buyers who have supported the plugin development by purchasing LayerSlider."
Questions:
do you know if there are more options to access if I purchase a license directly? Is LayerSlider that comes bundled with North the premium version?
If I do buy a license and end up updating LayerSlider before you guys bundle the newest version in a North update, will it have conflicts with the version of North I'm running?
1) The plugin bundled with the theme is the same version you get when you purchase a licence for it. As far as I am aware, the only extra features you will get by purchasing a licence for it is support from the LayerSlider team, and downloadable templates that you can install directly to it.
2) With all 3rd party plugins, updating them ahead of the theme released update is done so at your own risk. Often we have to check the plugins for compatibility or issues.
But, with plugins such as LayerSlider or RevSlider they tend to be ok with updates (normally Visual Composer is the one that causes issues as their updates are usually huge and change all sorts of code for us to go through).
